About Me

My journey in mobile development began during my studies at Penn State University, where I pursued a Bachelor of Science in Information Systems with a focus on Application Development. This foundation gave me a solid understanding of software engineering principles and data analysis.

Over 3+ years working across the entire stack, I've built mobile applications with Flutter and React Native and front-end web apps with React, spanning the FinTech, IoT, Social Media, and Defense industries. My backend work includes AWS, Firebase, and Supabase integrations across both mobile and web.

At The Big 3 LLC, I've had the incredible opportunity to work on production mobile applications, including NTWKD and One-Tank, which are currently live on both the App Store and Google Play Store. This experience has taught me the importance of writing clean, maintainable code and the intricacies of shipping real-world applications to thousands of users.

What I love most about development is the intersection of technology and user experience. Every line of code I write is ultimately about creating something that makes people's lives better or more enjoyable. Whether it's implementing smooth animations, integrating complex APIs, or ensuring offline functionality works seamlessly, I'm always thinking about the end user.

When I'm not immersed in code, I maintain an active lifestyle that keeps me energized and creative. Running is my meditation - there's something about the rhythm and focus required that often leads to my best problem-solving breakthroughs. I also enjoy weightlifting and cross-training, which teach discipline and persistence - qualities that translate directly to software development.

I'm a huge dog lover (that's Preston with me in the photo - he's my coding buddy and inspiration!). There's something about the unconditional enthusiasm and loyalty of big dogs that reminds me why I love what I do. They approach every day with curiosity and joy, which is exactly how I try to approach new technologies and challenges.

Family and friends are incredibly important to me. I believe that great software is built by people who understand human connection and empathy. The best apps don't just solve technical problems - they understand human needs and emotions.

Technology evolves rapidly, and I'm committed to growing with it. I'm currently exploring game development, expanding my web development skills, and diving deeper into advanced Flutter concepts like custom render objects and platform channels.

I believe the best developers are those who remain curious and humble. Every project teaches me something new, whether it's a more elegant way to solve a problem, a better approach to testing, or a deeper understanding of user experience principles.

I'm passionate about sharing knowledge and learning from others. The developer community has given me so much, and I try to contribute back through clean, well-documented code and by being available to help fellow developers navigate challenges.
